All Details

I am widely regarded as the "King of Mangoes" in North India and Pakistan, famous for my unparalleled sweetness and intoxicating aroma. I produce medium-to-large, oblong fruits with a golden-yellow skin. My flesh is exceptionally soft, succulent, and completely fiberless, providing a rich, honey-like juice that has earned me a global reputation as one of the world's best-tasting fruits.

I am a premium, late-season mango variety known for my high sugar content and my unique "sucking" quality, as my flesh is so juicy it can be enjoyed directly from the fruit.

I originated in the Sandila region of Uttar Pradesh, India, and was famously given my name by the Emperor Sher Shah Suri after his victory at Chausa.

I require deep and consistent watering during my fruit development stage to ensure my pulp stays juicy, but I prefer well-drained soil to avoid root issues.

I crave full, direct sunlight for at least 8 to 10 hours a day to develop my signature high-Brix sweetness and rich, golden internal color.

I thrive in hot, dry climates between 25°C and 40°C and am perfectly adapted to the intense summer heat of the Indo-Gangetic plains.

I grow into a large, vigorous tree with a wide canopy, so I need plenty of space and deep, fertile soil to support my heavy late-summer harvests.

I am a heavy feeder; I respond best to organic farmyard manure in the winter and a boost of potash in the early summer to enhance my fruit flavor.

My scientific name is Mangifera indica 'Chaunsa' and I belong to the Anacardiaceae family.

My fruit flesh is a safe treat for pets, but my sap, leaves, and large pit contain natural irritants and should be kept out of their reach.

My massive evergreen canopy is excellent for filtering the air, providing a cooling microclimate and significant oxygen production for your garden.

I am an excellent source of Vitamin C and minerals, and because I ripen late (July-August), I am the highlight of the mango season's finale.

I can be sensitive to "fruit drop" during heavy winds and should be monitored for mango malformation or fruit flies during the monsoon season.

I am a very sturdy and long-lived perennial tree that can continue to provide "royal" harvests for 50 to 80 years or more.
