I am Becuriya Angulefa, the clustered jewel of the rainforest. My fruits hang in bunches, round and translucent, with a sweet-sour taste that refreshes and delights. I thrive in humid tropical forests, offering both food and beauty.
I am a tropical fruit tree producing clustered translucent fruits.
Native to Borneo and Southeast Asia.
Water weekly; tolerate humid rainforest conditions.
Requires full sun to partial shade.
Thrives in 25–35°C; sensitive to frost.
Plant in sandy-loam soil; spacing 6–8 meters apart.
Apply compost annually; minimal fertilizer needed.
Botanical name: Baccaurea angulata; Family: Phyllanthaceae.
Fruits are safe; seeds edible but small.
Moderate; dense canopy reduces dust.
Fruits rich in vitamin C and antioxidants; eaten fresh or processed into jams and juices.
