Native to Central and South America; widely cultivated in Brazil, India, and Southeast Asia.
Water 2–3 times per week; prefers consistent moisture.
Requires full sun (6–8 hours daily).
Thrives in 25–35°C; sensitive to frost.
Plant in well-drained sandy-loam soil; spacing 5–6 meters apart.
Apply compost and NPK 8:10:10 every 2–3 months; supplement with calcium and magnesium.
