I am Duku, the golden orb of the tropics. My leathery skin peels back to reveal juicy, translucent segments with a sweet, tangy burst. I thrive in humid forests and reward patient growers with fragrant, refreshing fruit.
I am a tropical fruit tree producing sweet, segmented fruits similar to langsat.
Native to Malaysia and Indonesia; cultivated across Southeast Asia.
Water 2–3 times per week; prefers consistent moisture.
Full sun to partial shade.
Thrives in 25–35°C; sensitive to frost.
Plant in deep, well-drained loamy soil; spacing 6–8 meters apart.
Apply compost and NPK 10:10:10 every 3 months; mulch to retain moisture.
Botanical name: Lansium domesticum; Family: Meliaceae.
Fruits are safe; seeds are bitter and not edible.
Moderate; dense canopy reduces dust.
