I am HRMN-99 Apple, the tropical miracle. Unlike traditional apples that demand cold winters, I thrive in warm plains and foothills, producing crisp, sweet fruits where mangoes and pomegranates grow.
I am a low-chill apple variety that fruits in tropical and subtropical climates.
Discovered by Hariman Sharma in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, India (1998–2001).
Water weekly; drip irrigation preferred.
Requires full sun.
Thrives in 20–35°C; tolerates heat up to 45°C.
Plant in sandy-loam soil; spacing 3–4 meters apart.
Apply compost and NPK 8:10:10 every 2–3 months.
Botanical name: Malus domestica (HRMN-99 cultivar); Family: Rosaceae.
Fruits are safe; seeds contain amygdalin (avoid eating).
Moderate; leafy canopy reduces dust.
Fruits rich in vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants; eaten fresh or processed.
Susceptible to fruit borer, aphids, and powdery mildew; prune for airflow and monitor regularly.
Can live 20–30 years; starts fruiting in 2–3 years; peak yield from year 6 onward.
