I am Jambu Red, the orchard’s ruby bell. My shiny red fruits are crisp, juicy, and cooling, loved fresh or in salads and juices.

I am a tropical fruit tree producing bell-shaped red jambu fruits.

Native to Southeast Asia; cultivated in India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Water every 5–7 days; drought-tolerant once mature.

Requires full sun.

Thrives in 22–35°C; sensitive to frost.

Plant in sandy-loam soil; spacing 5–6 meters apart.

Apply compost and NPK 8:10:10 every 2–3 months.

Botanical name: Syzygium samarangense (Red cultivar); Family: Myrtaceae.

Fruits are safe; seeds edible but rarely consumed.

Moderate; dense canopy reduces dust.

Fruits rich in vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants; eaten fresh, juiced, or in salads.

Susceptible to fruit fly, anthracnose, and leaf spot; prune for airflow and monitor regularly.

Can live 20–30 years; starts fruiting in 3–4 years; peak yield from year 8 onward.
